Two years of growth - a chat with Alesha.

At Bridgehead Consultancy, we pride ourselves on nurturing talent, celebrating growth and creating an environment where individuals can thrive both personally and professionally. Today, we’re delighted to spotlight Alesha, who is marking her two-year anniversary with us.
From joining as a Quality Assurer Administrator to being promoted to Operations Manager, Alesha’s journey is a testament to what’s possible with hard work. We caught up with her to reflect on the highlights, challenges and personal milestones of her career so far.

What do you enjoy most about your role as Operations Manager?

“What I love most is being at the centre of a busy and varied business, bringing structure and clarity across multiple workstreams – logistics, marketing, bidding, health & safety, and more.
“I particularly enjoy managing client invoicing because it connects directly with the services we deliver. It’s about more than just numbers, it’s making sure clients see the full scope and value of what we provide. It gives me an overview of how projects are progressing and allows me to collaborate closely with different teams.
“I also take pride in supporting our people – whether it’s tracking hours, meeting deadlines, or ensuring communication is smooth. I enjoy being someone the team can rely on.”

How did you find your way into the industry?

“My journey has been anything but linear. I started out in hairdressing, moved through recruitment, administration in the gambling sector, and then discovered construction. It was in construction that I eventually found my niche.
“I joined Bridgehead in 2023 as a QA Administrator, working closely with the Health & Safety team. That experience – along with completing an ISO 9001 internal audit course – gave me a solid foundation in compliance and operational quality.
“By January 2025, I had been promoted to Operations Manager. It’s been a steep learning curve, but every step has built on the last. Looking back, even my earlier roles taught me crucial skills in customer service, organisation, and resilience – all of which I now use daily.”

What’s the most challenging aspect of your role?

“Tracking associate hours across various fast-moving workstreams is a real challenge. Our priorities shift quickly, and I need to make sure time is logged correctly, resources are allocated efficiently, and that we don’t miss any detail.
“I’m also heavily involved in the financial side – from budgets to monthly account reviews. Month-end can be intense, with invoices to approve and send, hours to reconcile, and reports to finalise. While I haven’t started dreaming in spreadsheets (yet!), they’ve become part of my daily life.”

What are your career goals moving forward?

“My focus is on becoming a more strategic leader and continuing to build my skills in operational management and business finance. I’m passionate about solving problems and creating structure – and I want to continue improving how Bridgehead works as a business.
“Continuous learning is a huge priority for me. Whether it’s through training, new responsibilities, or simply learning from my peers, I want to keep growing and adapting. If I’m learning and making an impact, I know I’m on the right path.”

What have been some standout moments in your time at Bridgehead?

“Winning the Rising Star Award at our Christmas party was a huge moment for me. It felt like my hard work was really being recognised – not just by leadership, but by the wider team.
“Being promoted to Operations Manager shortly after was another proud milestone. It showed the trust the company has in me, and it’s given me the opportunity to contribute at a higher level.
“But beyond the milestones, it’s the supportive and collaborative culture at Bridgehead and across the Munnelly Group that really stands out. There’s a real sense of opportunity here, and I feel valued every step of the way.”

 

What do you enjoy outside of work?

“Travel is my biggest passion. I’ve been fortunate enough to explore destinations like Jamaica, Spain, Mexico, Vietnam, America, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Thailand, Portugal, India, St Lucia, The Netherlands, Egypt, Greece, Dubai and China. I love discovering what makes each place unique, whether it’s exploring islands in Thailand, relaxing on the beaches of Barbados, shopping in Las Vegas, visiting local markets in Vietnam or enjoying the energy of Universal Studios in LA. Each trip offers a fresh perspective, helps me stay curious, and reminds me of how much there is to learn from the world around us.
“Closer to home, I enjoy live music, comedy nights, food markets, and brunching with friends. I love experiences that are both fun and engaging – whether it’s escape rooms, arcades, or theme parks. And I always make time for spa days and relaxing with loved ones to recharge.
“I believe in living a life full of curiosity, connection, and meaningful moments. That balance helps me show up as my best self at work too.”

Any advice for someone starting in a similar role?

“My advice? Work hard, be kind, and believe in yourself. Operations management can be challenging, but every challenge is a chance to grow. Step outside your comfort zone, build strong relationships, and always be open to learning.
“Even when you’re unsure, take initiative. Confidence comes with experience, and progress comes with persistence. Your mindset and dedication can shape not just your own success – but the success of everyone around you.”
