The 11-acre brownfield site is located 1.7 km to the north of York City Centre and is
bound by the Nestle Confectionery factory to the north, Haxby Road to the east, woodland to the south and Wigginton Road to the west. Comprising of 302 new homes, more than 35% will be available through shared ownership and social rent. It involves two apartment buildings of 6 storey, just lower than the main factory building, and further buildings ranging from 2-3.5 storey.
